I was checking up my fabric stash recently and found some heavy-duty polyester lying around.
Since it’s good-quality material, there was no way I was going to throw it away. Even small fabric pieces can be turned into something practical. Duh, if you want you can also go super tiny and recycle micro scraps by stitching them together. But I don't have pieces THAT small.
So I gave my polyester a second life and made some simple waterproof utility pouches in different colours.
As extra features, I added a paracord loop on the outside as an additional attachment point, and inside I included a webbing loop for attaching keys and other small items.
They’re quite useful for organizing things, whether in a backpack or in larger pants pockets.
In the meantime (apart from some of my usual sewing/embroidery work) I'm working on a few other prototypes for more complex things, like a range bag and a custom motorcycle crash bar bag. I won't show you anything yet, though, because I'm at a stage of gathering ideas and sketching many rough designs. No sewing yet. Just my ugly scribbles :)
I try to update my logbook (and places like IG or YT) as often as I can, but boy it's hard sometimes :,)
